Mikey Ball — Views on the Bournemouth Music Scene

With a wealth of experience playing it, Mikey Ball gives his true opinion of the Bournemouth live music scene…

It is our penultimate outing in this particular series, surrounding local musician Mikey Ball. As someone who has played the local live music scene since he was 16, Mikey has witnessed its evolution in that time. The bands and artists that have either come to prominence or fallen off the radar. And the venues that either closed before their time or continue to provide a platform for local talent. But what makes it so popular? And what maybe prevents Bournemouth from being one of the top musical towns in the country?

We also hear what sorts of venues Mikey prefers to play when he gigs, and the reasons why. Plus, the next steps for him and the collaboration Mikey Ball and the Company.

If you want to know more about Mikey and his work, visit the band’s Facebook page. And you can check HQB Media out on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram too!
