Outdoor Cinema Experience Arrives at Farmer Palmer’s

The family friendly farm park has been chosen as the location for a brand new drive-in cinema experience, with a whole host of movie screenings to suit every member of the family.

The Bournemouth-based company, German Events Ltd., are set to bring their Drive-In Theatres to Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park in Poole, with the launch of their new outdoor cinema experience. The drive-in cinema is due to open today, Thursday 16th July, with a screening of the 2019 remake of the classic Disney movie Dumbo at 7:30pm, with gates opening at 6:30pm. Screenings will run on Thursdays, Fridays and weekends until the end of July, with films including Jurassic Park, Toy Story, How to Train Your Dragon, and a Grease singalong.

It is hoped that the drive-in theatre experience will prove popular in the wake of the COVID-19 outbreak, as a substitute to the modern cinema and other events which were due to take place this year, by allowing moviegoers to enjoy films from the comfort and safety of their own cars.

Whilst cinemas were allowed to reopen on Saturday 4th July, the way in which we enjoy the magic of the silver screen is changing, with the implementation of extra safety measures, such as perspex screens at tills and hand sanitising stations. Many major cinema chains, including Odeon and Cineworld, have chosen not to reopen their branches, with Cineworld pushing its reopening date back to 31st July.

Farmer Palmer’s is taking necessary precautions to ensure customers are able to enjoy the movie experience with peace of mind, checking that cars are parked with two metres of space between them, and providing clean toilets with a continuous cleaning schedule.

The cinema screenings will be held in the car park of Farmer Palmer’s Farm Park.
